Something inside of me shuts down
I feel myself collapsing inward
The light starts to disappear
The angels start panicking
the demons start pacing
They know I am about to become theirs
The shadows are closing in
faster and faster
can you feel the frantic cries in my writing?
can you see it now?
can you picture me with blood dripping down my wrist,
splashing onto the cold tiles?
I can feel it all now
Before I know it
The blood isn't a vision in my head
I turn to you as you walk into the bathroom
I can't decipher the look on your face through my tears
The knife clatters to the floor
and I fall with it
shattering into a million pieces while you watch
I do not make the sound of shattering glass
all you hear is my voice whispering;
